Manhattan beats Northwest for their fourth straight win

Recap: Manhattan Indians vs. Northwest Grizzlies

On Friday, The Manhattan Indians faced the Northwest Grizzlies in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Manhattan managed a 28-24 victory over Northwest. Winning may never get old, but Manhattan sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Carter Aslin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 204 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Charles Morgan was another key contributor, rushing for 72 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.

Aaron Bohannon jr and Jayce Glasper, Northwest certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Bohannon jr gained 106 total yards and a touchdown, while Glasper rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Manhattan's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manhattan will take on Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southeast will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while Manhattan is ranked fifth). As for Northwest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Haysville Campus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Haysville Campus will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
