Basketball Recap: Whitko Find Success

Whitko won the last time they faced Northfield, and Easton Grable did his part to make sure it happened again. The Whitko Wildcats strolled past the Northfield Norsemen with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 59-40 thanks in part to Grable, who went 8 of 11 en route to 19 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

When it comes to explaining why Northfield lost, don't look at Carter Rodgers. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points. Rodgers also put up a block, which washis first of the season. Another player making a difference was Parker Oswalt, who put up four points.

Whitko's record is now 4-9. As for Northfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Whitko didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-43 defeat against Prairie Heights on the 25th. As for Northfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-44 loss against Rochester on the 31st.
