Central East is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Edison by a score of 3-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bengals as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Central East had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-12, 25-12, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Santa Ynez waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted since April 5th.

Santa Ynez was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 21-25, 24-26, 25-20, 15-13.

Santa Ynez's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Central East, their victory bumped their record up to 18-14.
