The Davidson Warriors will square off against the Foley Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Davidson is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Davidson finally turned things around against Robertsdale on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 29-3 margin over the Golden Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Warriors have posted since September 22, 2023.

Davidson's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Chris Andrews and Terrance Gray. Andrews rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries while Gray rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.7 yards per carry.

Davidson wouldn't let Robertsdale keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Jayden Williams, Roland Johnson, Dewayne Dixon, and Jermaine Cromwell picked up one apiece. Vershaun Harris was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Davidson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 362 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 169 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Foley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 41-7 loss at the hands of Baker. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Hornets are ranked 21st).

Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Foley, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
