Softball Recap: Bishop Alemany Takes a Loss

Bishop Alemany lost against Providence back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 8-6.

Sienna Valadez and Naydeen Vallejo did some serious damage despite the final result: Valadez went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Vallejo went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Charlotte Riggen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Bishop Alemany's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Providence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Bishop Alemany will be taking part in a tournament against Righetti at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Providence, they will square off against Polytechnic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
