Clare had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Pinconning Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Pioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-16, 18-25, 25-18.

Clare's win bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Pinconning, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-17-3 record this season.

Clare will face off against Boyne City at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pinconning, they will challenge Carrollton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
