Recap: Lincoln East Spartans vs. Lincoln Southeast Knights
The Lincoln East Spartans won the last time they faced the Lincoln Southeast Knights, and things went their way on Friday too. Lincoln East came out on top against Lincoln Southeast by a score of 24-17.
Jeter Worthley looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 163 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 131 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Lincoln East also got a significant boost from Dash Bauman, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 97 yards.
Lincoln Southeast's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Kadin Logan, who rushed for 104 yards on only 14 carries.
Lincoln East's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.2 points per game. As for Lincoln Southeast, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.
Lincoln East will face off against Elkhorn South at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Elkhorn South will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Lincoln Southeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
