Basketball Recap: Fairview Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Fairview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They snuck past the Rocky River Pirates with a 56-52 win on Tuesday. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

Rocky River's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jacob Radcliffe, who posted 20 points, and Michael Swallow, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. The game was Radcliffe's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Danny Berg was another key player, putting up seven points and five assists.

Fairview pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Rocky River, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.

Fairview will take on Independence at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Independence knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Fairview likes a good challenge. As for Rocky River, they will challenge Buckeye at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rocky River is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60 points per game this season.
