Basketball Recap: Callisburg Triumphs

Callisburg won the last time they faced Boyd and things went their way on Friday too. The Callisburg Wildcats narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Boyd Yellowjackets 52-50.

Boyd lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lex Horton, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Myles Richardson, who had 12 points.

Callisburg is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points over those games. As for Boyd, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-25.

As of now, neither Callisburg nor Boyd have any future games scheduled.
