Recap: Leon Cougars vs. West Hardin Oilers
There's no place like home for The Leon Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They blew past West Hardin, posting a 49-6 win at home. The victory was just what Leon needed coming off of a 56-7 defeat in their prior game.
Leon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Thomas out in front who gained 204 total yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Stevens, who rushed for 115 yards on only ten carries.
Leon's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 4-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.0 points per game. As for West Hardin, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Leon will head out on the road to face off against Normangee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Hardin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Groveton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
