Basketball Recap: Blue Valley Southwest Drops Season-High Score on Louisburg

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blue Valley Southwest). They breezed past the Louisburg Wildcats to the tune of 72-33 on Tuesday. With the Timberwolves ahead 47-18 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blue Valley Southwest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mia Hansen, who posted 12 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Karter Skillman, who scored ten points and six boards.

Hansen wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Blue Valley Southwest was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2023.

The win snapped Blue Valley Southwest's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-7 record. As for Louisburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Coming up, it'll be Northside v. Southside when Blue Valley Southwest and Blue Valley North meet at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Blue Valley North will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Blue Valley Southwest surely won't give up without a fight. Louisburg has already played their next contest (against Eudora), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
