 It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Utica ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Groves Falcons  and snuck past  10-9. Utica's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Kellen Condon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Condon was even better at the plate,  getting on base  in five of his six plate appearances with four  RBI, a  run,  and a  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Riley Sangster, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.  Timothy Geottes was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases.
 The  win  got Utica back to even at 4-4. As for Groves, their  loss was their first of the  season and makes their record 8-1.
 Utica will head out on the road to  face off against  St. Clair at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Groves, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Seaholm at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Groves will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak  dating back to last season alive.
