Basketball Recap: Hayfield Takes a Loss

Hayfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Triton Cobras 93-50. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Cobras are ranked 137th).

Hayfield's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Triton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Coming up, Hayfield will head out on the road to challenge Loyola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Loyola knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Hayfield likes a good challenge. As for Triton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chatfield at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
