Baseball Recap: Richard Winn Academy's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak at Home

Richard Winn Academy came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to the Greenwood Christian Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-6 back in February.

Richard Winn Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Albert, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Albert also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season.

Richard Winn Academy's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. As for Greenwood Christian, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Richard Winn Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fairfield Central at 1:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Greenwood Christian, they will take on Abbeville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
