Basketball Recap: Wilson Farmer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fort Worth THESA over Texas Lions Homeschool

After flying high against Panhandle Christian Home Educators on Saturday, Fort Worth THESA came back down to earth. The Fort Worth THESA Riders lost 69-44 to the Texas Lions HomeSchool Lions on Saturday. The matchup marked the Riders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Fort Worth THESA lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Wilson Farmer, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was David Friedlein, who went 5 of 12 en route to 12 points.

Texas Lions HomeSchool found their leader in sophomore Karsen Ramsey, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Ramsey has posted since back in December of 2024. Brian Stewart was another key player, putting up 16 points and seven rebounds.

Fort Worth THESA has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-13 record this season. As for Texas Lions HomeSchool, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 32-5.

Fort Worth THESA didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 87-76 defeat against Liberty Christian on the 28th. As for Texas Lions HomeSchool, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Harker Heights at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Harker Heights has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
