It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Caldwell had no problem doing just that on Friday. They never let the Freeman Golden Eagles get on the board and left with a 20-0 win. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Caldwell and bumps their season record up to 18-13. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Freeman, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Caldwell will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Golden Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
