Basketball Game Preview: North Eagles vs. Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans

North hasn't had much luck against Ridge Spring-Monetta recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The North Eagles will head out to challenge the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, North didn't have quite enough to beat Williston-Elko and fell 32-29. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Ridge Spring-Monetta had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Fighting Hawks by a score of 41-29.

Ridge Spring-Monetta has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.6 points per game. As for North, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

North came out on top in a nail-biter against Ridge Spring-Monetta in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 40-37. Does North have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ridge Spring-Monetta turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
