Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Wayne Takes a Loss

Fort Wayne Wayne extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 1-5. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Huntington North Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Huntington North, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since October 5, 2024.

Huntington North's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Audrey Moreland led the charge by getting eight digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Myah Eltzroth, who had 12 assists and three digs.

Fort Wayne Wayne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Marion on the 30th. As for Huntington North, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Fort Wayne Northrop on the 30th.
