Softball Recap: Hopi Bruins vs. Fredonia Lynx
Sadly, Hopi is still looking for their first win of the season after 13 games. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fredonia Lynx on Saturday. For Fredonia's part, Lexie Heaton was incredible, going 2-for-2 with a home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Castor, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
Hopi's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Fredonia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7-1 record this season.
Hopi will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Many Farms at 1:00 p.m. Many Farms is coming into the contest with five straight losses on the road, meaning Hopi will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Fredonia, they will take on Panguitch at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Panguitch is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.
