Santa Fe Christian had won seven straight games and Dax Hall did his part to make it eight on Thursday. The Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mt. Carmel Sundevils 86-47 thanks in part to Hall, who almost dropped a double-double with 31 points and nine steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Santa Fe Christian's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Coen Sponsel, who posted nine points. He also put up three assists, which were his first of the season.

Santa Fe Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Mt. Carmel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Santa Fe Christian will challenge Torrey Pines at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' defense better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 62.6 points per game this season. As for Mt. Carmel, they will be home for the holidays to greet Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
