Softball Recap: Nelsonville-York Comes Up Short

Nelsonville-York's last matchup with Portsmouth West could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Buckeyes lost 16-2 to the Senators. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Buckeyes couldn't push the score so high this time.

Nelsonville-York saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Warren, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Nelsonville-York has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Portsmouth West, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-13.

While Nelsonville-York had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
