Whitman and Laurel squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Whitman had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 68-53 to the Laurel Spartans. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Laurel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amadou Kaloga led the charge by shooting 73% from the field on his way to 23 points. Kaloga is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Brown, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Whitman's defeat dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Laurel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Whitman nor Laurel have any future games scheduled.
