Volleyball Recap: Mira Mesa Takes a Loss

Mira Mesa saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Santiago Sharks. The Marauders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Santiago can attribute much of their success to Sophia Martinez, who had eight assists and three aces. Those three aces gave Martinez a new career-high.

Mira Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Santiago, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-11.

Mira Mesa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Steele Canyon on the 10th. As for Santiago, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Liberty on the 10th.
