Basketball Recap: Mullen Broncos vs. Twin Loup Wolves

Mullen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Twin Loup Wolves and fell 64-26. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-31 last Tuesday.

Several Broncos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daniel Wright, who went 5 for 9 en route to 10 points.

Leading Twin Loup to victory were Yahya Harris and Carter Hall. Harris almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, while Hall posted ten points in addition to six boards and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Hall a new career-high in steals (four). Another player making a difference was Luqman Harris, who scored ten points and five rebounds.

Mullen's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Twin Loup, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Mullen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-45 defeat against Anselmo-Merna on the 31st. Twin Loup has also already played their next game, a 54-44 win against South Loup on the 30th.
