University City and Scripps Ranch are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Centurions will head out to  challenge the Falcons  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. University City will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
University City is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They were the clear victors by  a  14-1 margin over Madison on Tuesday. The  win continues a trend for the Centurions in their matchups with the Warhawks: they've now won nine in a row.

 Melia Galvan made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in February. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news, University City got a  massive  performance out of  Audrey Forde, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  hits  Forde has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was  Addyson Weathers, who  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple.
 University City  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .613. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile,  after only one  run in their last  game, Scripps Ranch made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Clairemont  on Tuesday. The Falcons won by a  run and slipped past the Chieftains  11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Falcons have posted  against the Chieftains since March 17, 2015.
  Sarah Cornelissen was  incredible,  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances with three  runs, two  doubles,  and one  RBI.  Eme Ledbetter also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 University City's  win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-13-1. As for Scripps Ranch, their record is now 9-6.
 University City suffered a grim  10-1 defeat to Scripps Ranch  in their previous meeting  two weeks ago. Can the Centurions avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
