St. Bernard dropped their record down to 13-4 on Monday, which also ended the team's 11-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs by a score of 5-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 5-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2017.

Michael Manzi made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Adam Wagner, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

As for St. Vincent de Paul, they moved to 3-13 with that victory, which also ended their 11-game losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since March 13th.

On St. Vincent de Paul's side, Will Hankins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Omar Mughannam was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Tyler Chelew also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

St. Bernard's didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-8 defeat against Ferndale on the 22nd. As for St. Vincent de Paul, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Healdsburg on the 23rd.
