Preview: Sunset Bison vs. Adamson Leopards
Sunset and Adamson are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Sunset Bison will head out on the road to face off against the Adamson Leopards at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Sunset was beaten by White 94-30. Sunset has struggled against White recently, as their game on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Adamson had to suffer through a rough 104-46 loss at the hands of South Oak Cliff. While losing is never fun, Adamson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1385th, while South Oak Cliff is ranked 549th).
The losing side was boosted by Eric Guerrero, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Edwards, who scored 11 points.
Sunset's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Adamson, they bumped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Sunset skirted past Adamson 65-62 when the teams last played back in January. Will Sunset repeat their success, or does Adamson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
