Baseball Game Preview: Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights vs. Sports Leadership & Management Bulls

The Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights will face off against the Sports Leadership & Management Bulls at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mater Academy East Las Vegas' hitters haven't had much luck over their past four contests, but Wednesday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meanwhile, Sports Leadership & Management fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Virgin Valley on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-3. The Bulls have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Alex Garcia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Talan Everett, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Sports Leadership & Management's defeat dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.

Mater Academy East Las Vegas skirted past Sports Leadership & Management 1-0 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
