Soccer Game Preview: Rincon/University vs. Tucson High Magnet School

Rincon/University is 2-8 against Tucson High Magnet School since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Rincon/University Rangers will challenge the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers at 6:00 p.m.

Rincon/University is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Marana on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Tucson High Magnet School brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They were the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over Sunnyside on Friday. Tatianna Kirkendall was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Rincon/University's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5-3. As for Tucson High Magnet School, they moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Rincon/University might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Tucson High Magnet School in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Rincon/University avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
