Basketball Recap: Gonzales Comes Up Short

Gonzales was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Hollister Haybalers, falling 57-28. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Gonzales now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Hollister, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gonzales will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Soledad at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. After both having extra time off, Hollister and Watsonville will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
