Soccer Game Preview: Fort Payne vs. Union

The Fort Payne Wildcats will square off against the Union Redhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Union took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fort Payne, who comes in off a win.

Fort Payne's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Helena. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly two goals.

Hayden Chambers was the driving force of Fort Payne's attack as he scored both of Fort Payne's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Meanwhile, Union didn't have quite enough to beat Norman North on Saturday and fell 3-2.

Fort Payne has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four games. Union's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1.
