Baseball Recap: First Flight Has No Trouble Against Fredericksburg Christian

After only two runs in their last game, First Flight made sure to put some runs up on the board against Fredericksburg Christian on Saturday. The First Flight Nighthawks put the hurt on the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles with a sharp 16-6 victory.

Ben LaVier looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Everest Ouellette, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Brody Stephens, who scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 1-for-2.

First Flight always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fredericksburg Christian only posted an OBP of .333.

First Flight now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fredericksburg Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Flight will face off against Northeastern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fredericksburg Christian, they will welcome Christchurch School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Fredericksburg Christian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
