Baseball Game Preview: Jersey Shore Bulldogs vs. Selinsgrove Seals

Jersey Shore is 0-10 against Selinsgrove since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Bulldogs will host the Seals at 4:30 p.m. The last three games Jersey Shore has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Jersey Shore didn't have quite enough to beat Shamokin Area and fell 4-3. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Collin Berguson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Selinsgrove scored first but ultimately less than Central Mountain in their game on Friday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 14-4.

Dominic Santer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Selinsgrove's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Jersey Shore, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Jersey Shore's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's contest. The Bulldogs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Selinsgrove, though, as they've been averaging only 0.5 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Jersey Shore continue to outrun the ball?
