Recap: Pottsgrove Falcons vs. Upper Perkiomen Indians
The Pottsgrove Falcons fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. Everything went their way against Upper Perkiomen on Friday as Pottsgrove made off with a 42-21 victory. The result was nothing new for Pottsgrove, who have now won three matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Pottsgrove got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mikhi Dargan out in front who rushed for 56 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Gabe Rinda was another key contributor, rushing for 40 yards and a touchdown.
Pottsgrove's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Norristown and 1-8 Upper Perkiomen (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 13.9% over those games). As for Upper Perkiomen, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Pottsgrove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Upper Perkiomen will head out on the road to face off against Norristown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Norristown comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
