Baseball Recap: Cherry Hill East Triumphs

Cherry Hill East won the last time they faced Camden County Vo-Tech and things went their way on Friday too. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Cole Haddock tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cherry Hill East's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Austin Hanni, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Those two hits gave Hanni a new career-high.

The win got Cherry Hill East back to even at 7-7-2. As for Camden County Vo-Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Coming up, Cherry Hill East will be playing in front of their home fans against Rancocas Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Camden County Vo-Tech, they will head out to face off against Bergen Tech at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
