Basketball Recap: Rancho Verde Gets the Win

Rancho Verde entered their tilt with St. Anthony on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 61-60 win over the St. Anthony Saints.

Rancho Verde's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for St. Anthony, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.

Rancho Verde will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Poly at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Rancho Verde knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Poly likes a good challenge. St. Anthony will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Bishop Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. One thing working in St. Anthony's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
