Basketball Game Preview: Thrall Tigers vs. Hondo Owls

The Thrall Tigers and the Hondo Owls will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Thrall's tournament run continued when they took on St. Augustine on Friday. Thrall was beaten by St. Augustine 84-42. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1420th, while the Knights are ranked 507th).

Meanwhile, Hondo scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Latexo by a score of 69-66. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Owls have suffered since December 2, 2023.
