Baseball Recap: Elkhorn North Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

While Elkhorn North's win against Mount Michael Benedictine wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Elkhorn North never let Mount Michael Benedictine get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Friday. Elkhorn North's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Elkhorn North got a great performance from Max Yager as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over 5.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Jake Janssen was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Janssen is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Elkhorn North pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Mount Michael Benedictine, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
