Softball Recap: Bay Takes a Loss

Bay fell victim to Pass Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Bea Buice spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits.

Bay has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Pass Christian, they pushed their record up to 16-4-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

Bay has already played their next matchup, a 10-6 defeat against Harrison Central on the 27th. As for Pass Christian, they will face off against Greene County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Pirates' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
