Soccer Game Preview: Harlan vs. Marshall

The Harlan Hawks will challenge the Marshall Rams at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Harlan and ten for Marshall.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Harlan's offense. They lost 6-0 to O'Connor on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while the Panthers are ranked 102nd).

Meanwhile, Marshall also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Sotomayor on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Harlan's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Marshall, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Harlan was able to grind out a solid victory over Marshall when the teams last played back in January, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harlan since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
