Softball Game Preview: Russellville Cyclones vs. Dover Pirates

The Russellville Cyclones will take on the Dover Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Monday, Russellville came up short against Rogers Heritage and fell 6-1.

Ava Brock was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. Raegan Skiles also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Dover suffered their closest defeat since March 14th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Baptist Prep by a score of 4-2. The Pirates have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Russellville's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Dover, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.
