Basketball Recap: Pine-Richland Takes a Loss

Pine-Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the McDowell Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while the Trojans are ranked 25th).

Pine-Richland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for McDowell, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine-Richland will welcome Fox Chapel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McDowell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Meadville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
