Basketball Recap: Van Buren Takes a Loss

After flying high against Vanlue last Friday, Van Buren came back down to earth. The Van Buren Black Knights were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 41-40 to the Wapakoneta Redskins.

Van Buren's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Wapakoneta, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, Van Buren will look to defend their home court on Friday against Elmwood at 7:00 p.m. Van Buren is facing Elmwood at the right time seeing as Elmwood is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Wapakoneta, they will square off against Bath at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
