Softball Recap: Cumberland Takes a Loss

Cumberland lost against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates came up short against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, falling 10-1.

Cumberland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Tolen, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases. Tolen has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Cumberland has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they pushed their record up to 23-5 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Cumberland is taking a road trip to take on Tuscola at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they will welcome Shelbyville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
