After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Harrison County, Bishop Brossart was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Bellevue Tigers get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won six contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Cayce Merkley made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Bishop Brossart got a massive performance out of Leah Robinson, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
