Basketball Recap: Rye Cove Comes Up Short

Rye Cove lost against J.I. Burton back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rye Cove Eagles took a blow against the J.I. Burton Black Raiders, falling 59-23.

Rye Cove's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for J.I. Burton, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rye Cove will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Thomas Walker at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for J.I. Burton, they will face off against Eastside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
