Volleyball Recap: Clever Extends Winning Streak to Four

Clever waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Springfield Catholic Fighting Irish. For the Blue Jays, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Fighting Irish walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Liv Compton paced Clever's offense, picking up five kills. Compton got some help from Lauren Bos and her eight assists. Bos was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Clever's victory bumped their record up to 8-5-2. As for Springfield Catholic, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coincidentally, Clever and Springfield Catholic will both be playing Central the next time they take the court. The Blue Jays will head out to face the Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Fighting Irish will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
