Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Concordia Lutheran's offense. They fell 3-0 to Memorial on Friday. The Crusaders' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Luke Douglas was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Concordia Lutheran saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That hit was Martinez's first of the season.
