Basketball Recap: Berkeley Takes a Loss

Berkeley's tournament run continued when they took on Democracy Prep Agassi Campus on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets fell 73-61 to the Blue Knights. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 307th in California, while the Blue Knights are ranked fourth in Nevada).

Berkeley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Berkeley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-41 loss against Alameda on the 8th. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-62 victory against Perry on the 1st.
