Acadiana Christian dropped down to 6-2 on Thursday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins. They were dealt a 46-0 defeat at the hands of the John Paul the Great Academy Guardians. The Lions were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the three games prior), but the Guardians' defense proved too tough.

Silas Johnson threw for 28 yards on two of seven attempts.

As for John Paul the Great Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

John Paul the Great Academy was led to victory by Daniel Charpentier and Riley Lormand. Charpentier rushed for 87 yards and two scores on only ten carries, while Lormand rushed for 77 yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Charpentier has posted since back in August of 2024.

Looking ahead, Acadiana Christian will host Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. John Paul the Great Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
